Energy Efficiency
Central Georgia EMC provides special services to help members get the most for their energy dollars.
An Energy Services Representative is available by calling and asking for our Member Services Department. An employee will answer questions, visit your home, and discuss conservation measures with you. If you're considering replacing your heating or air conditioning with an electric system, an employee will analyze and compute the proper size of your new heating or cooling system. These services are free.
We offer an energy efficient new home construction program. This program requires the best in energy efficiency, including the electric heat pump and an efficient electric water heater. We encourage the installation of energy efficient electric heat pumps. Call our Member Services Department for details.
An energy efficient home meets our recommendations for an energy saving, money saving home. An energy efficient home is built specifically for energy savings. It has an insulation package that seals in comfortable air while keeping out the heat or cold. It is a home built for year-round comfort. An energy efficient home will have an energy efficient electric heat pump. A heat pump is the most energy efficient heating and cooling equipment you can buy.
You and your builder and our Member Services Representatives work together to plan and build a home that will be comfortable year-round with added energy value today and tomorrow.
