When You Call To Report an Outage:
- Please be prepared to input the telephone number(s) for your account(s) or the account number of the location where the power is off. Your monthly electric bill provides the account number.
- NOTE: When you call to report a service interruption, CGEMC's Automated Reporting System receives trouble reports. This assists our personnel in answering a higher volume of trouble calls.

Please keep your telephone number updated with CGEMC. This is very important as the telephone number acts as a guide so we can locate your home exactly. If you know the cause of the outage, please describe it (example: a limb is on the line, a pole has been hit by a car, etc.). Informing us of the nature of the outage saves a great deal of our recovery time and your inconvenience. When you call in to report the outage, you can hear an outage report to see if your area has already been reported. Our automated response system will return calls to members to confirm that their power has been restored. If you report the outage to us, be assured that we are doing our best to return service to you and leave the phone lines open for others to report outages. This will make sure all repairs are made as quickly as possible for everyone.
