Solar Incentives

Central Georgia EMC offers a rebate to help make solar power systems more affordable to our customer-owners.  A one-time rebate of $450 per kilowatt (kW) of AC installed, up to 10 kW AC for customer-owners who qualify.

Special financing is available through our HomePlus loan program with the GEMC Federal Credit Union.

Tax Incentives

Solar panels can qualify for a tax credit.

Photovoltaic systems must provide electricity for the residence, and must meet applicable fire and electrical code requirement.  Tax credit in effect through 2021

Must be installed in a home you own and use as a residence (no rentals, but second homes qualify) between January 1, 2009 and December 31, 2021.
