The Walter Harrison Scholarship

The Harrison Trust will award nineteen (19) $1,000 scholarships in Georgia in 2025.   This scholarship honors Mr. Walter Harrison, leader in the state and national electric cooperative movement. 

Scholarships can be awarded to high school seniors and undergraduate students. To be eligible, applicants must be enrolled or accepted into an undergraduate program at a Georgia college, university, or vocational-technical institute and reside in the household of a Central Georgia EMC member. Central Georgia EMC selects three (3) semi-finalists from its service area to compete at the state level.  Judges select winners for the Harrison Scholarship each year based on financial need and academic ability. 

Powering the Future Scholarship

Take advantage of your opportunity to apply for the Central Georgia EMC Powering the Future and Walter Harrison scholarships.  Central Georgia EMC's semi-finalist for the Walter Harrison Scholarship will be awarded a $500 Powering the Future Scholarship.  This gives you two opportunities for scholarships with one application.
