CGEMC Operation Round Up Foundation Grants $27,640

The Central Georgia EMC Foundation Board recently awarded grants totaling $27,640 to support community projects, including:
  

  • Humane Society of Morgan County: $1,845 – To fund the renovation of its outdoor exercise area for animals. 

  • JHS Dugout Club: $4,270 – To purchase a new batting cage.

  • Manna From Above, Inc: $3,000 – To purchase food for the Touch of Love Backpack Buddies program.

  • Madison-Morgan Conservancy: $3,200 – To promote the Madison-Morgan Meander tourism program. 

  • MM Hope House: $5,000 – To support the Meals R Us food pantry program.

  • Prevent Child Abuse Henry County: $3,825 – To purchase literature for new mothers and books for children.

  • Putnam Community Resources: $1,500 – To obtain and distribute food.

  • United in Faith Christian Ministries: $5,000 – To purchase food for its multiple food pantries. 

The average Operation Round Up participant's donation is fifty cents per month, but that "change" adds up to makes a big difference in local communities.
