CGEMC Operation Round Up Foundation Grants $26,900 in April

  1. Camp Twin Lakes: $2,200 - To fund scholarships for campers in the CGEMC territory. 
     
  2. Central Georgia Council, Boy Scouts of America: $1,500 - To sponsor Monroe County camp scholarships. 
     
  3. Communities In Schools In Henry County: $2,500 - To support the Student Achievement Program. 
     
  4. Ferst Readers, Inc.: $1,500 - To foster program participation in Fayette, Henry, and Spalding counties. 
     
  5. GGKB Food Pantry Inc.: $2,000 - To repair a homeless shelter.
     
  6. Lamar County Fire and Rescue: $2,500 - To purchase communication equipment. 
     
  7. Make-A-Wish Foundation of Georgia: $2,500 - To grant life-changing wish events for critically ill children in CGEMC's territory.
     
  8. Steffen Thomas Museum and Archives: $2,150 - To purchase art supplies for “A Day at the STMA” field trips. 
     
  9. Sunnyside UMC Food Pantry: $5,000 - To purchase a refrigeration unit for the food pantry. 
     
  10. Tennis People, Inc.: $2,640 - To sponsor a tennis tournament for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. 
     
  11. United in Pink, Inc.: $2,500 -  To support “The Pink Bridge” program, which benefits women experiencing breast cancer. 

 The average Operation Round Up participant's donation is fifty cents per month, but that "change" adds up to makes a big difference in local communities.
