The Central Georgia EMC Foundation announced today that it awarded $5,000 in a grant to Community Action Resources, Inc. The grant will be used to assist in purchasing a wheelchair accessible van.
Community Action Resources, Inc. is a part of the McIntosh Trail Community Service Board. They offer individuals experiencing symptoms associated with mental illness the hope for recovery, and the hope for optimum functioning to those with a developmental disability. The organization services individuals who use wheelchairs and need transportation for medical treatments or activity within the community.
