Friends of the Monroe County Library received a $1,500 grant to support a summer reading program that promotes literacy through engaging activities and educational events for all ages.

Stepping Stones Educational Therapy Center received a $4,500 grant from the Central Georgia EMC Foundation to upgrade their communication system and enhance safety.

The Central Georgia EMC Foundation awarded a $5,000 grant to Community Action Resources, Inc. to help purchase a wheelchair-accessible van for individuals with mental illness or developmental disabilities.

Helping in His Name Ministries received a $5,000 grant from Operation Round Up to purchase food for their pantry. Serving about 300 families weekly in Henry County, the ministry provides short-term relief using volunteers and donated food.

The Central Georgia EMC Foundation awarded a $3,000 grant to the Henry County Fuller Center for Housing to help build a storage facility for donated building materials.

Central Georgia EMC ranked as the third lowest-cost electric provider in Georgia at the 1,500 kWh and 2,000 kWh levels in the Winter 2019 Residential Rate Survey, saving customer-owners an average of $37.34 per winter month compared to the state average.
